About Rotary CLUB OF Novato Evening
Mission Statement
To provide business, professional and community leaders an opportunity to service others to benefit our community, and to model high ethical standards, fellowship and goodwill worldwide.
ABOUT US
WHO WE ARE: We are an evening Rotary Club that is geared for the young and “young at heart”. We meet for drinks and dinner at 6:00 – 7:30 PM to listen to engaging speakers, plan service opportunities, and enjoy each other’s company. Aside from our weekly meetings, we also have socials, fundraising events and parties, and service opportunities that members and guests can volunteer for. If you are looking for a club that is geared for professionals who work during the weekdays, and want to give back to your community after work or on the weekend, then the Rotary Club of Novato Evening is for you.
WHAT WE DO: Our club was formed in June 2017 and we have been steadily growing with have recently chartered (2/2024). Our growing club plans to host fundraising events, large and small, to raise money for our Foundation, participate in community events to create an understanding and build a relationship with the people and businesses we serve, and do lots of local service! Some of our latest service projects include planting trees for the County of Marin and parking cars for North Marin Community Services events, set up for events at Marin Humane, and furnished/decorated new homes for the Butte County Fire victims. We will be working with many local charities and have lots of exciting events and service opportunities being planned for the upcoming year including planting gardens at North Marin Community Service, helping Pep Housing with setting up smart homes for their seniors, setting up a Golf Tournament to raise money for Wounded Warriors, delivering food to homeless shelters for ExtraFood.org, and volunteering at the local events when we can.
JOIN US! The best way to become a member of our club, or to simply see what we are all about, is to join us for a meeting. We meet every first and third Monday of the month at 6 pm at Sam’s Place, 1545 S. Novato Blvd., Novato. We hope to see you there!
